First four places were all taken by Clumbers and both C.O.M.s went to Sussex spaniels. The Club was delighted to welcome HRH Princess Royal at lunchtime who took great interest in the rest of the day's proceedings. 

The Guns were brilliant; Robert Mitchell, Andrew Strickland, Gareth Clarke and Kevin Harris all shot supremely well. I had judged an ESS Open stake with the same crew at the beginning of December. Unbeatable in the UK?

I had to leave the Trial early but the morning was brilliant and a full report was in the next Newsletter.
