Exbury 2005

All Aged Field Trial - Monday 10th January 2005

Held at Exbury, Hampshire

Judges Walter Harrison and Christine Bridgwater

1st        Witheld
2nd       SEDGEHURST TEMPEST          Owned and bred by the Zuricks   Handled by Clive Miller

I thoroughly enjoyed my day and saw several really good, if unlucky, dogs. The bad luck extended to the handlers... John Zurick tried to knock himself out on a tree

Apart from the one place awarded, all other competitors had been disqualified during the body of the stake. The dogs and/or their handlers let themselves down in some way or another. Sedgehurst Tempest had put on an extremely good performance, at only 16 months old, but a couple of errors kept it out of the top slot. No doubt by next season there will be more polish!

There were some excellent and encouraging words given by Walter at the prize giving. The top dog's handler, Clive Miller, who is well known in A/V Trialling circles, also commented on the pleasant surprise he had had in the training of this youngster; the first Clumber that he had real experience of.
