Firle Place
Home Up

We were very lucky to be invited back to Firle Place for a day's shooting and working our dogs - there was a small gathering of the WCSS here in 2006.  This year was unfortunately one of the wettest days in early December - despite that  spirits weren't dampened!

The beaters probably had a better time of it than the guns, who  felt the full force of a gale and heavy driven rain with minimal shelter on top of the South Downs. The dogs didn't worry about the weather and we all had a wonderful day regardless.

The hospitality of Lord Gage was outstanding - and the meal afterwards was a very pleasant surprise, the warm kitchen was very welcoming after the days weather too. Once again another memorable day for those members old and new who attended . We were all truly appreciative of our kind Host's generosity.

I haven't seen any photos of the day outside - it was too wet!

So here are some of the assembled members being well looked after at the end of the day.
