A Game Fair Weekend
A very busy weekend for the WCSS with two one day game fairs. There are lots of very tired dogs and owners today.
Moreton in Marsh on Saturday the 7th September- A fantastic day had by all at Moreton with a great team of WCSS members with their dogs. We had the usual meet the breed stand by the rural pursuits ring, meeting lots of enthusiastic members of the public, potential new clumber owners as well as other WCSS members just there for a fun day out. We performed 3 demos though out the day which were well attended. The dogs stepped up well to the challenge of so many demos in one day as well and meeting so many strangers in the pen. All in all a great day was had and hopefully we will be invited back next year.
Frampton Country Fair on Sunday the 8th September- the WCSS stand was all set up by 8am again ready for a new day and a new Fair. The WCSS team were back together again to attend the wonderful Frampton Country fair kindly hosted by the Clifford family. In the living and working countryside section with meet the breed, one of our famous demos and part of the delightful gun dog parade. Even with such a busy day the day before the dogs performed brilliantly in the demo showing spectators what fantastic gun dogs clumbers really are. We had a guest turn from some lovely Sussex spaniels too. It did rather look like Clumbers are one of the more plentiful spaniels in the dog parade with such a great turn out from WCSS members. Again a brilliant day and hopefully we will be allowed back again next year.
What a fantastic summer we have had with WCSS attending many game fairs promoting the breed. We can now all get on with the shooting season letting our dogs do the job they were designed for. Hopefully we will be attending lots of fairs next year too as soon as we know what’s booked in they will be posted on the https://www.workingclumber.co.uk/events so make sure you keeping checking it to keep up to date.
Thankyou to all the members involved on the stand Denise and Gary Barstow, Charlotte, David, Robert and Olly Chilvers, Mandie and Grant Hussey, Tim and Julie Poole, Mike Mountford, Heidrun Humpries, John and Debbie Zurick.
