The Society has a rather special AGM this year. Its almost a decade since working Clumbers gathered at their original kennels in Clumber Park. With the Society emerging from a grievous period, it seems like the right time and place to recall the breed’s roots whilst embracing new progress for its Society. The AGM itself will be held in the comfort of The Clumber Park Hotel, a characterful Hotel Spa with the benefit of easy parking. The meeting will commence at 11am, teas and coffees being served beforehand. Alongside the necessary AGM features it will be a chance to hear about the progress of the new committee, elected last August. The new team has hit the ground running with initiatives across the board and now the AGM is your chance to participate in shaping the future of the Society – don’t miss this one!
Following the meeting you have options to get your lunch at the Clumber Park hotel or move the very short distance to Clumber Park itself, maybe eat at the Central Bark café or enjoy your packed lunch.
At 2pm (subject to the conclusion of the AGM) we will meet up in the Park for the group photograph at the charming site of the old kennels. So that every member and Clumber attending can get into this iconic photograph the Society is arranging for a professional gundog photographer from out-side of the Society to take the shots so every member can be included.
Members are now invited to book their places with Sarah Watters-Carver for the AGM and the picture. Please contact Sarah at sarahwatterscarver@gmail.com to book you place
The image created on the day will be used by the Society across shooting and countryside press – perhaps even wider. Getting access to the kennels has been difficult but is the start of the Society forging closer links with Clumber Park. It may be another 10 years before we have another mass photo opportunity like this. Get you and your Clumbers in the picture!!
